Various radio technologies are used for transmission, mostly Bluetooth 2.4 GHz or 869 / 915 MHz in the licensed band. Our data pre-processing allows you to realize transmission speeds of up to 1.5 Mbit/s. In addition, the radio systems are easy to install like a cable – Plug & Play. There are two different housing variants compact (IP 20) for cabinet mounting and X-treme (IP 65) for direct use in industrial environments or outdoors.

Wireless PROFIsafe can be transmitted via PROFIBUS or PROFINET with DATAEAGLE 3000 or 4000. Different radio technologies are used for transmission, mostly Bluetooth 2.4 GHz or 869 / 915 MHz in the licensed band. Thus all systems with PROFIBUS DP or PROFINET IO interface are suitable for one radio link. The solution works quite simply like a cable replacement: Plug&Play.

The IO distribution box DATEAGLE X-treme IO 2730 gives you the opportunity to transform cabled sensors into “wireless” sensors. If you need to deploy sensors in spaces that are cramped or difficult to reach, or if you work with mobile machinery, the DATEAGLE X-treme IO 2730 may be the device you need. Together with its counterpart, the DATAEAGLE compact 2730 gateway, it wirelessly integrates sensor measurements into the control unit or into the cloud.

You can choose from a variety of interfaces: Profibus DP, Profinet, Ethernet IP, OPC/UA, Modbus TCP, POWERLINK, sercos, CANopen, EtherCAT and Devicenet. Further protocols such as IO-Link are currently being developed.

Connecting wireless sensors to the cloud

The wireless sensor-to-cloud gateway DATAEAGLE compact 2730 cloud picks up sensor data through its Bluetooth Low Energy interface. After pre-processing the data the gateway transmits it via mobile radio to the cloud.
Operating with a globally applicable eSIM card the DATAEAGLE compact 2730 cloud enables you to network sensors, machinery and production facilities on a global scale. This opens up a range of new application areas, like analysing data in real-time or remote monitoring of facilities and buildings to predict component fatigue.

The wireless sensor-to-cloud connectivity provided by the DATAEAGLE compact 2730 cloud gives you the opportunity to develop new business models by helping your customers to refine their services, improve their products or reduce operating costs.

Adding to the versatility of the DATAEAGLE compact 2730 cloud we offer numerous options, like 2G, 3G, 4G, LoRA or MeshNetwork. And the gateway comes with an online portal (Device Cloud) that enables you to manage devices and forward data through an API interface to the cloud or to an ERP system.

In the industrial environment, sensor and application data from machines in the field level are transmitted to a controller. If this is to be done wirelessly in view of moving parts, e.g. in driverless transport systems or cranes, radio links are used that are aligned with the respective fieldbus: The modules of the DATAEAGLE 4000 series are suitable for a transparent Ethernet connection, for example: Modbus TCP. For some fieldbuses, there are optimized radio data systems, e.g.: Wireless PROFIBUSWireless PROFINET and Wireless openSAFETY.

On the one hand two DATAEAGLE Compact 2000 are able to be combined and therefore signal transmission like e.g. a digital 24V input by radio to an relay output are possible. Then again it’s possible to integrate our DE Compact 2000 into our DATAEAGLE 2000 Concept and communicate directly with the DE Classic 2000, which is disposed with a MPI, Profibus, Ethernet Profinet IO, 3964R, L1 to Simatic S5, CAN or Modbusinterface.

The DATAEAGLE 3715A-MPI may be integrated into a MPI network. In addition, the radio systems are easy to connect and commission like a cable – Plug & Play. Bluetooth 2.4 GHz is used for the radio transmission, which enables transmission speeds of up to 1.5 Mbit/s. There are three different housing variants: classic (IP20 ), compact (IP 20) for control cabinet mounting and X-treme (IP65) for use in direct industrial environments or outdoors.

By means of the DATAEAGLE 7000 IoT gateways, IO-Link sensor data can be transmitted to the cloud. The implementation concept consists of an IO-Link Master, available from a wide range of manufacturers. Machine Condition Monitoring offers many industries considerable possibilities for production and quality assurance. More and more sensors are collecting critical operating data that can be used to keep machines and systems healthy for longer. A prerequisite, however, is that the sensor data reach the point where a critical assessment can be made quickly and reliably and appropriate measures can be initiated. Our condition monitoring system consists of sensors, gateways and industrial interface and optionally a dashboard.

These applications can be mapped with the DATAEAGLE Condition Monitoring System: Environmental data such as temperature, acceleration and motion sensors to monitor vibration, and other wireless (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensors such as magnetometer, light and microphone can be used.
